There’s a Jelly Bean For Everybody….

My Songs No Comments

If you remember the song ‘Fruitcake’ by the Eraserheads, they talked about having at least one fruitcake for everyone they know. The song went like this:

There’s a fruitcake for everybody
There’s a fruitcake for everyone
There are b-sides to every story
If you decide to have some fun

Fruitcakes are fun, but I found one other food group (yes, it’s a food group) that better represents the differences in people, and how unique and special each one can be….. Jelly beans! It’s kinda fun to replace the ‘fruitcake’ in the lyrics above to ‘jelly bean’. Try it!

So what are the types of Jelly Beans I like? Here are some of them and the corresponding group of people I associate them with:

White Jelly beans are for my older friends who somehow always manage to provide the best advice on everything. They are pure at heart and will always want the best for me.

Pink Jelly beans are for my girl friends who never run out of fabulous stories in game and off game, and who always managed to share the juiciest tidbits about other people. They are well represented with the pink color because with them my day is always rosy.

Blue Jelly beans are for my Hardy boys friends like ricopola who are nice guys but a little naughty too. They can be fun and warm but always green, I mean blue.

Multicolored Jelly Beans areĀ  for all the people I met online through RO and for people I met offline like my officemates. They are so varied but unique in their own ways.

A Career in Real Estate: Is it Complicated?

Uncategorized No Comments

I’ve heard a lot about making money, a lot of money, by selling real estate. Rumor has it that a fellow Ragnarok Online player made a fortune selling real estate and got rich enough to afford a gender change! Now, my post as to who that player is will follow soon enough, but for now I’ll focus on what kind of career is in store for those looking to make a living by selling land and property.

You have probably heard about the Nouveau Riche Scam article on overpriced tuition fees; or the Nouveau Riche Scam article that talks about real estate scams and real opportunities. These articles point to one thing and it is: the real way to become a shrewd real estate agent.

Come to think of it, there’s no exact college course that teaches about real estate. At most, it is a side course in a marketing major’s curriculum or a case study in a business administration major’s fabulous investment thesis. Here are some tips that I have thought up to aid those who are looking into this potentially lucrative career:

1. Be sociable - you own your time and you spend it on socialization with people who might be looking into investing a part of their hard earned cash into something that doesn’t rot overnight, loses value over time or run away with the caterer.

2. Be eager to help - Investors need all the information they could find about a property. Sincere effort and understanding on a real estate agent’s part will make him or her a valuable resource to these people. And,

3. Be confident of your abilities to make the best presentation. If you can’t close ASAP, at least you made sure that your presentation made a sufficient impact for the prospects to make another inquiry.

Here’s another Nouveau Riche Scam article to help you out.
