A Burger and a Bus Have Something in Common

Food trip! Isn’t going to a fast food chain harassing for someone who wants to diet? Luckily, despite my small frame, I have always found the space for those big burgers they advertise in fast food restaurants. There are smaller ones that don’t get advertised, but the bigger, badder ones are always featured in blown up photos. They usually have two patties, one on top of the other, which makes a princess wonder how in the world she is going to eat it (demurely). They call it the double decker burger, which is an appropriate name.
A burger isn’t the only thing with two decks. In other countries, there are cool looking buses that seem like two buses in one. I see these in movies and on TV, and for sure when I get the chance to ride in one, I will take the top part. It’s almost always red in color, like those that an advertiser uses, see NYC Tours. The color can be justified in that the only other tasteful option is yellow, which is of course a signature color of school buses, so it’s not exactly appropriate for a double decker tour bus.
It’s funny that when I was a younger princess, I always thought these types of buses have two drivers, one stays at the bottom and the other on top. More amusingly, some other kid told me that this is how people in the other countries teach students how to drive. The real driver stays at the bottom part of the bus to drive, while the other stays on top to pretend he’s the one steering. In retrospect, I think we were both being silly.
